What sets Daxxify apart from Botox and other neuromodulators is its duration of results. While most neuromodulators produce results that last between 3-4 months, Daxxify can sustain results for up to 6 months, or longer in some patients.
Daxxify, also known as daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm, is a neuromodulator used to treat dynamic wrinkles that develop due to repeated muscle movement. It is unique because it is the only formulation that uses a novel peptide as a stabilizer. This neuromodulator comes to us from Revance Therapeutics, Inc., the same company that introduced the RHA dermal filler line.

Daxxify is FDA-approved to treat the glabellar lines (also known as frown lines), or the vertical lines that appear on the forehead extending upward between the eyebrows. It can also be used to treat other wrinkles of the face including the forehead and around the eyes. In some cases, it can be used to raise the corners of the mouth or smooth out a wrinkly chin or nose.
A Daxxify treatment typically takes just a few minutes to complete. Most treatments take between five and 15 minutes. The needle used for the procedure is tiny, so most patients do not require topical numbing to ensure a comfortable treatment. Once your treatment is over, you can immediately resume your schedule.
Daxxify results have been shown to last for about 6 months, but some patients have seen improvements for up to 9 months.

Daxxify injections at our Charlotte, NC office are very well-tolerated. We take many steps to ensure the comfort of our patients during treatment. As a general rule with injections, the needle’s size directly correlates to the level of discomfort patients will experience. At our office, we use the smallest needle possible for these injections.
Additionally, a sharp needle will be better tolerated than a dull needle. For this reason, we will use multiple fresh needles during the injection to limit discomfort. The injections themselves take 2-7 minutes to complete.
If you see lines and wrinkles between the eyebrows and would like longer-lasting results, you should choose Daxxify over other neuromodulator treatments.
That said, Daxxify may be more appropriate for those who’ve already tried other neuromodulators like Botox Cosmetic or Dysport.
