Upper Blepharoplasty

This patient was a professional and felt that the heaviness in her upper eyelids was making her appear tired and fatigued. Since she was a professional, she was concerned about her recovery and ability to get back to work. After a discussion, the decision was made to undergo in an office upper blepharoplasty under local anesthesia. Before the procedure, she took a couple medications by mouth to relax her nerves. Over a two-minute time period the area is numbed and the surgery was performed over 45 minutes in the office.

In reviewing her pictures, the heaviness has been removed from her upper eyelids in her eyes appear more open and awake. There is more space between the eyelashes and the upper eyelid crease in this creates an illusion that she actually has larger eyes. The wonderful thing about her procedure is that she had minimal downtime and was able to return back to work after a few days. She is very pleased with her results and was happy that fit into her busy lifestyle.
