What is PRP/PRFM?

PRP/PRFM is a regenerative substance created from the patient’s blood. In this innovative treatment, your provider draws a small amount of blood and spins it in a centrifuge to separate platelets. They then inject these platelets, rich in growth factors, back into the scalp to stimulate hair growth or apply to the skin with microneedling for rejuvenating benefits. The entire PRP/PRFM therapy session takes approximately one hour.

Your PRP/PRFM Experience at Carolina Facial Plastics

Your Consultation

Your PRP/PRFM therapy journey for hair restoration begins with a personalized consultation tailored just for you. Your dedicated aesthetic specialist delves into your medical history, discussing your specific concerns to create a comprehensive understanding of the areas you’d like to address with PRP/PRFM therapy. Open communication about your hair restoration goals is crucial, shaping the foundation for a precisely tailored treatment plan.

Your Procedure

Your PRP/PRFM hair restoration procedure begins with a small blood draw. We process your blood to extract concentrated growth factors. Before treatment, we apply a numbing agent to ensure your comfort. Our specialists then inject the PRP/PRFM into targeted areas of your scalp to stimulate hair follicles.

After the procedure, we’ll provide aftercare instructions and schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress.

Your Results

PRP/PRFM therapy results become noticeable over several months after each treatment. While some individuals may observe gradual hair thickness and volume improvements within a few weeks, the maximum results often emerge over a more extended period, typically around six months.

Our team typically recommends three treatments spaced four weeks apart for maximum results. We may also advise combining your treatment with the Auxo Hair Cap, PropeciaFinPlus, or exosomes to maintain and enhance your new head of hair. Carolina Facial Plastics also offers NeoGraft™ hair transplants for permanent results.
