Restylane Contour contains a mixture of lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, to minimize pain. However, our team may also apply a topical numbing cream for your comfort. Finally, we inject the medication into the predetermined areas. We use a micro-cannula, rather than a traditional needle, resulting in less pain and fewer side effects. The entire treatment takes about one hour when numbing cream is used, while the injections typically take about 10-15 minutes.
