This patient is a 50-year-old that underwent 2 previous rhinoplasties over 30 years ago. She wanted to improve the shape of the nostrils and improve the profile. She felt her nose appeared operated and did not fit her face. From her previous rhinoplasties, the nose was destabilized and did not have the proper support. During her revision rhinoplasty, the nose was rebuilt with cartilage grafting from cartilage from the nasal septum and her right ear. The tip of her nose was brought down (counter rotated) and closer to her face (deprojected). The patient’s skin was thin from her previous surgeries and temporalis fascia was added to the nose to improve her skin.
The patient saw over 15 doctors before choosing Dr. Kulbersh to do her revision rhinoplasty. She was very happy with her results as her new nose fit her face, and she has great improvement of her breathing. The nose is straighter, stronger and looks natural.
