Carolina Facial Plastics uses Vollure, one of Juvederm’s innovative fillers that works to rejuvenate your face by correcting the deep indentations in the nasolabial folds. Vollure creates a more natural look without restricting facial movement, and is the ideal option for this active area of the face. Juvederm Vollure is a unique dermal filler, using “Vycross” technology to naturally improve and rejuvenate the facial folds around the mouth and nose. Vycross combines different weights of hyaluronic acid molecules, creating a filler that holds its shape well but is flexible enough to allow natural movement with facial expressions. The properties of the Vycross technology make Vollure a better choice for some patients, but it’s not the only option. It’s important to choose Carolina Facial Plastics and the highly trained team of Dr. Kulbersh, Heather Bryant, MPAS, PA-C, Amanda Piligian, PA-C, and Courtney Whitley, FNP-C , because we can help you determine the best filler for your needs and goals.

Vollure provides multiple benefits to patients who want to enhance the face with a natural look. It is primarily used on the folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth, known as the nasolabial folds. Vollure also adds natural-looking volume, and can provide better shaping to the cheek and jawline to rejuvenate the lower part of the face for a more vibrant look.

Because of Vollure’s advanced Vycross technology, it lasts longer with a more natural look. Other fillers may last less than a year, but Vollure provides a more complete and long-lasting effect of up to 18 months or more, making it one of the longest-lasting injectable fillers on the market today.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance in the body, which means Vollure blends seamlessly into your dermal layers for natural results with fewer side effects. Some patients may experience swelling, bruising, tenderness, firmness, itching, pigmentation changes, and the formation of skin bumps. Side effects are typically mild, and disappear within a day or two in most cases.

Your recovery and downtime are minimal, as we use microcannulas to deliver Vollure into targeted areas for treatment. These tiny tubes decrease the chance of bruising or other side effects caused by needle injections, and is the safest method of injecting nearly any filler. The procedure at our medical spa is quite tolerable as Vollure contains lidocaine to relieve any discomfort during the procedure. Patients typically experience little to no downtime, and usually return to their daily schedule immediately following treatment.

We will instruct you to avoid activities in the sun, excessive heat, drinking alcohol, or exercising for a day or two after your appointment to promote a comfortable experience during and an optimal outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Your initial consultation at our medical spa will guide us to develop a plan for your treatment. During your appointment, we will prep and clean your skin, and you may choose to have a topical anesthetic applied to relieve any discomfort you may feel during the injections. We will use the “needleless” technique with blunt-tipped microcannulas to inject small amounts of Vollure into each of the targeted areas around your nose and mouth.

Most patients do not experience pain during the procedure, as Vollure contains lidocaine to relieve any discomfort. Topical anesthetics may be available as well to reduce the initial discomfort a patient may experience with the insertion of the microcannula.

Depending on the size of the area being treated, and the amount of injections needed, a procedure may last as little as 10-15 minutes.

Vollure is a fast-acting dermal filler. You will see results quickly – as soon as your injections are done, and as Vollure settles, your facial folds and wrinkles will smooth out more and you will see more obvious results over the next week. Vollure will take up more space in and create a fuller, more rejuvenated look.

Juvederm fillers are priced by the syringe. Contact Carolina Facial Plastics for the current prices for Juvederm Vollure and for more information about scheduling a consultation.
