Chin Implant Cost

Chin implant performed in Charlotte

Chin implant or a chin augmentation in Charlotte is a common facial plastic procedure. A chin implant can improve facial harmony by bringing a weak chin into balance with the remainder of the face. The procedure can be done while the patient is awake or asleep, and it takes about 1 hour. In considering plastic surgery, patients need to know the financials to plan accordingly.

WHAT ARE THE COMPONENTS OF THE COST OF A CHIN IMPLANT PROCEDURE?

The price of an implant is composed of 3 components.

  • Anesthesia Fee
  • Facility Fee
  • Surgeon’s Fee

WHAT IS THE ANESTHESIA FEE?

I take great efforts to ensure my patients have a smooth surgery and post-surgery experience. If an implant is done while the patient is awake, there is no anesthesia fee. For this reason, undergoing this procedure while awake can make the procedure more affordable.

If the patient decides to be asleep during a chin implant, the anesthesia fee is used to cover the costs the medical personal giving the anesthesia (anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist) and all their supplies. Their supplies include medications and equipment that they use during your procedure.

WHAT IS THE FACILITY FEE?

The facility fee is paid to the location where the procedure is performed. I would want to have the procedure done at a clean, safe, warm, and comfortable environment. That facility must be paid for the services they provide during the procedure. The facility can be a hospital, surgery center, or an office. This fee is used to pay the staff, supplies, and equipment of the facility.

WHAT IS SURGEON’S FEE?

This fee is paid to your facial plastic surgeon. It covers the expenses it takes to run a successful facial plastic surgery practice. That fee is covers all of the appointments you have with the doctor before and after the procedures. It will typically entail 2-3 appointments before surgery and at least 5 appointments for the first year after surgery.
