Your Procedure
We strive to foster a comfortable experience during your treatment. You may read a book, listen to music, or bring an audiobook to relax. We also have a TV in the OR that you can watch throughout the procedure. When we break for lunch, we can place an order for you so you don’t have to worry about bringing food. You’re free to get up and stretch your legs, take breaks, and use the restroom.
Step 1: Numbing/Local Anesthesia
Neograft procedures use local anesthesia to ensure minimal discomfort during surgery. You will either lie facing down or on your side during surgery.
Step 2: FUE Technique
For the FUE technique, Dr. Kulbersh and his team will harvest hair using small circular incisions that remove individual follicular units one at a time.
Step 3: Transplant
Depending on the number of hair grafts that need to be transplanted and the size of the treatment area, hair transplant surgery can take between 4-8 hours and may require 1-2 sessions.
Step 4: Recovery
A few simple tips to ensure a smooth recovery:
- Avoid touching the transplanted area
- Do not drive
Feel free to eat what you want (no dietary restrictions)
- Prepare for some oozing from the donor area on the back of head
- Start spraying grafted areas with saline solution
- Sleep with your head elevated position for the first 3 nights following the procedure
