However, it is an aggressive treatment that comes with a longer recovery period and higher risk profile than many patients want.

The Cool Peel Laser is a game-changer. As the latest cutting-edge CO2 laser skin treatment in the country, Cool Peel treats the skin at a high-speed rate (0.3milliseconds), allowing for a higher energy level without damaging the skin. It effectively treats fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots, enlarged pores, and loose skin.

Traditionally, CO2 lasers work in a geometric grid technique. This approach can leave markings after the treatment. Furthermore, Cool Peel does not attempt to get the final results in one aggressive treatment. Instead, the skin continues to improve over a series of approximately three treatments every four weeks. Spreading out the treatments allows for significantly less downtime, with typically only 24-48 hours of minimal redness after each session.

Before your Virtue RF treatment begins at our medical spa, we will apply a numbing cream 30-45 minutes before your procedure to ensure a comfortable experience. You might feel slight pressure from the handpiece, especially on bony areas of the face. We can adjust the settings to minimize discomfort. You may have some redness, but the post-treatment mask, infused with antioxidants, vitamins, moisturizers, and anti-inflammatory properties, should soothe the skin and reduce side effects.

A full-face treatment will take approximately 20 minutes to perform. However, treatment time can vary depending on the treatment area’s size and the overall skin condition.

A Cool Peel treatment takes about 15-20 minutes to treat the face. Additional time will be needed if including additional areas, such as neck, chest, or hands. A handheld device will deliver short pulses of energy to the treatment area, creating a controlled injury with less heat buildup in the skin. It will only target the superficial skin to reveal the healthier-looking skin beneath the surface.

These two devices are completely safe to use together and offer superior results for patients who have more advanced signs of aging or want to see a more dramatic improvement in their skin.

Virtue RF and Cool Peel both require minimal to no downtime afterward. For Virtual RF, you may experience minimal redness and a warm sensation immediately following the treatment, but this should resolve within a few hours, especially if the treatment is accompanied by a sheet mask. Most redness will dissipate within 12-24 hours.

At the lightest setting, the Cool Peel will feel and look like a sunburn for one night. The next day, you might appear a bit sun-kissed but should experience no pain. Some patients may opt for higher settings to get faster and more impressive results. This approach would result in 2-4 days of mild swelling and redness.

In our office, we also offer exosome therapy to assist in accelerating the healing process after treatment. Applying exosomes to the skin following laser procedures has consistently demonstrated its effectiveness in reducing redness and expediting the recovery period. Many of our patients have shared their experience of a noticeable decrease in redness within just 24 hours after undergoing exosome therapy following their laser treatment. This compares favorably to the standard 48-72 hours for recovery. Additionally, exosomes contain growth factors that actively promote collagen production and work to diminish the appearance of pigmentation caused by sun damage, contributing to a more refreshed and rejuvenated complexion.
