Remarkable Care, Exceptional Results

“Love coming here! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Heather is amazing, and really listens to what you want out of your treatment, and then provides suggestions based off that. She has never told me to or tried to convince me to get treatment that may be too much or that may not give me the desired results, which I think is really important.”

Laser Genesis can treat a variety of skin concerns. Laser Genesis stimulates collagen regrowth to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

This device can also fade superficial acne scars and reduce the appearance of large pores.

Laser Genesis for rosacea treats facial redness and skin redness, producing healthier, younger-looking skin with an even tone and texture.

Melasma is a skin condition characterized by brown patches or spots on the skin. It occurs when the skin produces an excessive amount of melanin, leading to the discoloration on the skin’s surface.

Melasma can be triggered by factors such as pregnancy or sun exposure. In some cases, melasma goes away on its own, but others may require treatment to reduce the appearance of the brown patches.

While lasers can be an effective treatment for melasma, we do not recommend the Laser Genesis for this purpose. Instead, we often prefer chemical peels and targeted medical grade skin care treatment for this purpose.

By gently heating the upper dermis deep in the skin, Laser Genesis stimulates collagen production to reduce some signs of aging and sun damage. Heat is also generated into dilated capillaries underneath the skin to reduce redness.

Laser Genesis skin rejuvenation before and after results in Charlotte

During the Laser Genesis treatment at our medical clinic, you will experience a gentle warming of your skin’s surface during the procedure.

A specialized handpiece is moved slowly back and forth over the targeted area, gently warming the skin’s deeper layers. Some patients describe the sensation and mild stinging or pinching.

No anesthesia is required for this treatment. Most treatments take less than 30 minutes to complete. Protective eyewear will be worn during the procedure for patient safety.

As the new cells reach the surface of the skin, you will begin to see results from your Laser Genesis treatment in the first few weeks. However, full results are seen around 3-6 months as collagen production continues to increase in the skin.

Mild redness or skin irritation can occur after a Laser Genesis procedure, but this will fade over the first hour after the treatment. No downtime is required.

Our medical clinic patients typically return to work or school immediately following treatment. There are also no restrictions on exercise or strenuous activities, so patients can also resume these activities right away.

We also offer exosome therapy to expedite the healing process after treatment. Applying exosomes directly onto the skin post-treatment has shown remarkable results in reducing redness and accelerating recovery times. Many patients have reported a visible reduction in redness within just 24 hours following post-laser exosome therapy, in contrast to the typical 48-72 hour recovery period. Exosomes also contain growth factors that stimulate collagen production and reduce sun damage-induced pigmentation.

Frequently asked questions

Laser Genesis patients report excellent results over their entire faces and necks. Additionally, Laser Genesis may be a recommended therapy to diminish recent scars on other parts of the body.

Diffuse redness is general skin redness rather than discrete, well-defined vessels. Facial redness, for instance, is caused by dilated capillaries. Laser Genesis for rosacea works by heating the skin and targeting the blood’s hemoglobin to collapse the small blood vessels that cause diffuse redness. Laser rosacea treatment using Laser Genesis delivers heat into these blood vessels without affecting surrounding tissues. Once these blood vessels absorb the laser’s heat, they constrict, collapse, and become reabsorbed into the skin, resulting in a reduction of redness.

There are many types of rosacea, with each having its own specific symptoms. But all of them include facial redness or skin redness, which can be successfully treated with Laser Genesis.

One of the main causes of the skin redness associated with rosacea is damaged blood vessels. Laser Genesis for rosacea heats the skin and constricts blood vessels and dilated capillaries to lessen the red appearance in the skin. The laser also stimulates the body’s natural healing process, triggering the production of new skin cells, collagen, and elastin. The result of laser rosacea treatment is healthier, younger-looking skin.

Before the actual Laser Genesis treatment, you will be asked to remove your make-up or moisturizers, and, in some cases, you may be asked to shave the area to be treated. We ask that you avoid tanning the skin for several weeks prior to your Laser Genesis treatment.

Over the course of four to six treatments, Laser Genesis can help restore the skin’s youthful glow and appearance. The individual treatment results are subtle, but the overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite dramatic.

On average, you may require four to six treatments in order to achieve optimal results. Most treatments are spaced one month apart. Every patient’s condition and needs vary. For more information about your expected results or the number of treatments necessary, consult your laser provider at Carolina Facial Plastics located in Charlotte, NC.
