Remarkable Care, Exceptional Results

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kulbersh and his staff. Everyone was highly professional, maintained frequent communication and welcomed my questions. Dr. Kulbersh is not just a master facial surgeon; he is an artist. During pre-surgery consultations for a face-lift, he asked about my expectations and desired results. Dr. Kulbersh clearly explained and demonstrated the results.”

Types of Facelifts We Offer

Mini lift

A minimally-invasive surgical procedure that is less aggressive than a traditional facelift. A mini lift addresses early signs of aging in the lower third of the face and neck and works best for those with minimal sagging and loose tissue.  The lift on all surgical facelifts are in the deep plane in a vertical or upward vector.

Revision facelift

A facelift procedure designed to correct or enhance a previous facelift’s results. Revision facelifts are more complex procedures than primary facelifts.

Deep plane facelift

A surgical facelift technique that targets the deep facial structures rather than simply pulling the skin to tighten and lift the face. Deeper muscles and skin are raised and manipulated, resulting in more natural-looking youthful contours.

Liquid facelift

A combination of various non-surgical techniques to provide full facial rejuvenation. A liquid facelift combines neuromodulators and facial fillers to smooth, lift, and contour the face while softening lines and wrinkles and redefining the jawline.

Your Consultation

Your initial consultation with Dr. Kulbersh is one of the most important aspects of your facelift procedure. During your meeting, he establishes an open channel of communication that allows you to express all your goals and concerns.

Dr. Kulbersh never uses a one-size-fits-all approach to any of his patients, but rather, he develops customized treatment plans based on your unique needs and goals.

Dr. Kulbersh may also recommend combining your facelift with other procedures to enhance your facial rejuvenation results.

Your Procedure

Your facelift will be performed at the fully-accredited Fairview Surgical Suites. At this all-inclusive aesthetic destination, you can safely and successfully receive your treatments with a team of experts who focus fully on safety and care before, during, and after your surgery, while you enjoy a portion of your recovery time in a luxurious, private setting.  The center is specialized in performing only facial plastic surgery procedures.

A facelift takes 2.5 to 7.5 hours to complete. It can be performed under local or general anesthesia and may begin with a tiny incision made beneath the chin. Dr. Kulbersh removes excess fat from the neck and tightens neck muscles and may perform a platysmaplasty (removal of neck bands) for patients with these bands or a turkey wattle at the front of the neck.

Sometimes, the deep fat, muscles or salivary glands of the neck need to be removed in patients with heavier necks. Dr. Kulbersh uses deeper sutures which he can close with no tension, allowing the incisions to heal with the most invisible scars possible. He then applies a protective dressing to the face, which he will remove the morning after your facelift.

  • Bleeding
  • Infection
  • Scarring
  • Nerve injury

  • Persistent pain

How much does facelift cost in Charlotte, NC?

The cost to get a facelift from the best surgeons in Charlotte ranges from $12,000 to $35,000, depending on the complexity and the amount of surgery required. The complexity of the facelift impacts the cost, including additional procedures like facial liposuction, platysmaplasty, buccal fat excision, brow lift, eyelift, and facial fat grafting.

How can I prepare for a facelift?

Preparation begins weeks before your surgery. We advise patients to stop taking certain medications and supplements that may increase bruising after the surgery. We will also provide a list of instructions to make your recovery process as smooth as possible. You may contact our Charlotte office if you have any questions before your surgery.

How long will my facelift last?

A facelift can be expected to last 10 years or more, but results depend on the patient’s skin care routine and lifestyle.

Are there any age restrictions for undergoing a facelift?

There is no age restriction to receive a facelift, but the surgery is most effective for those in their 40s, 50s, and 60s because those are the age ranges in which the signs of aging become more apparent.

Does insurance ever cover facelift in Charlotte?

Cosmetic surgeries like a facelift are not typically covered by insurance.

How long will I need to plan on staying for my facelift if I'm traveling from out of town?

If traveling from out of town, plan to spend at least one week in Charlotte so we can monitor your initial recovery process. Our concierge services will assist you with any booking and transportation arrangements to make your stay as stress-free as possible. You may also spend your first night post-surgery in our Fairview Recovery Retreat, where you will receive round-the-clock care in a luxurious setting.

What happens if I have problems after my surgery?

Our patient care continues long after your surgery is complete. We are always available to answer your questions, or you may schedule a follow-up visit for any issues or complications you might have.

What happens if I have problems after my facelift if I live in another state?

We advise our patients coming from another town or state to plan a week’s stay in Charlotte since potential problems are most likely to arise during this time. If you encounter an issue once you return home, you may contact us via phone so we can assist you.

Are there non-surgical offers before I commit to a surgical facelift procedure?

For patients looking to optimize their facelift surgery before and after results, there are non-surgical procedures that can be combined with a facelift or even delay the need for a facelift.

Filler injections, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, or medical-grade skin care products can help rejuvenate the skin and correct signs of aging.

Does a facelift leave scars?

Any incision or cut can leave a scar but facelift scars should be inconspicuous. Dr. Kulbersh is especially skilled in precisely making incisions along the hairline and ears and closing them with no tension, allowing the scars to heal to the point of being nearly invisible.

Watch this video of Dr. Kulbersh explaining how he hides scars during a facelift procedure and ensures natural-looking results.

Should I delay my facelift if I'm planning to lose weight?

Yes. Weight loss can change the shape of your face, which may affect your results and how long they last. Patients should reach their desired weight loss goal or achieve a stable weight before proceeding with their facelift.  Patients need to be within 20 pounds of the desired weight.
