I normally defend the many proper indications for plastic surgery, but this has gone too far. A plastic surgery group in Venezuela is using the Disney characters in an advertising campaign to somehow show that plastic surgery can make dreams come true. They show what they believe to be attractive results after plastic surgery to Ariel, the frog prince, and the wicked witch. They are able to take youthful Ariel and make her look like an overdone Hollywood face, and they removed her tail and gave her legs. How is she ever going to be able to go swim home and, if she can make it, will they recognize her?
I want to publicly state that I am against plastic surgery for animated characters. This is my ivory tower for the day.
