Facelift Without Surgery?

Many people look in the mirror and wish there was something they could do to turn back the clock and rejuvenate their face. We all know about the surgical facelift, but many people are hesitant to undergo surgery, especially if they are experiencing the early changes of aging. As a Charlotte facial plastic surgeon, I offer a non-surgical facelift option, the liquid facelift.

What is a Liquid Facelift?

The liquid facelift is a procedure in which a combination of injectable treatments are performed to lift, fill, and smooth the face. The procedure involves the use of multiple facial fillers to restore volume to areas such as the under eyes, cheeks, marionette lines, jawline, and temples that tend to lose volume over time. Neuromodulators, such as Botox and Dysport, are used to relax wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movement. Through carefully placed injections of fillers like Juvéderm, Restylane, Perlane, and Sculptra, as well as Botox and/or Dysport, we can improve the following:

  • Crow’s feet

  • Forehead creases

  • Droopy eyebrows

  • Under eye bags

  • Volume loss

  • Expression lines

  • Thin lips

  • Weak chin

  • Jowls

  • Smile lines

  • Dull Jawline

  • Excess Skin in Neck

The results of a non-surgical facelift are generally lasting up to six to 24 months depending on the specific treatments. When results of the injectable treatments begin to fade, the treatment can be repeated.  Typically, the cost for a repeat treatment is less than the initial treatment.  This is secondary that the results from the first treatment are unlikely to have completely disappeared.

Liquid Facelift in Charlotte

During the consultation for a liquid facelift in Charlotte, I will listen to your concerns and goals, assess the changes in your face, and develop a customized treatment plan. Each face is unique and each patient has their own goals and desires.  For these reasons, I can create numerous treatment plans and offer patients a variety of options.  My goal is to educate the patient so they will have the knowledge to choose the best treatments for themselves.

In undergoing a liquid facelift, it is important to assess and treat damaged skin.  If the skin is dull, irregular, or has uneven pigments, then the poor skin can limit the ultimate result of a liquid facelift.  For these reasons, medical grade skin care and chemical peels may be recommended to some patients.
